Hi, friends! I'm Rachael Bowers, and my husband, Jeff, and I are so excited to officially introduce Poppy Lane Boutique!
For those of you who know me, you know how much my grandpa meant to me. We all called him Poppy, and he was one of the most important people in my life.
For as long as I can remember, I always said that if I ever had a little girl, I would name her Poppy. That just wasn't the path the Lord had planned for us, but I truly believe He had a different purpose for that name.
What started as a little teacher side hustle making t-shirts, hats, and spirit wear has grown more in the last couple of weeks than I ever could have imagined. One night, my husband and I were talking, and he said, "Why not turn it into a boutique?" So that's exactly what we're doing.
I'm a middle school science teacher, Jeff works in sales, and together we've officially taken over one spare bedroom in our house — and we're probably about to take over a second! We're building this dream one order at a time. We truly feel like this is where God is leading us, and we're excited to see where this journey takes us.
Don't worry — we're not getting rid of what started it all! We'll still be offering our game day apparel and custom laser-engraved cups, while adding so much more. You'll also find teacher outfits and dresses, everyday casual pieces, and styles for whatever life has planned.
But more than anything, I want Poppy Lane Boutique to be a place where every woman feels comfortable and confident. I've never been a size 0 or 2, and I know what it feels like to wonder if something is "meant" for your body. I don't believe cute clothes should only be for one size or one body type. I want every woman — no matter her size — to put something on from our boutique and feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable. You deserve to love what you're wearing exactly as you are.
I truly believe the Lord had a plan for the name Poppy all along. While I may never have a little girl by that name, I get to build something that honors one of the greatest men I've ever known. I hope this little boutique reflects the kindness, love, and heart that he showed to everyone around him.
